Ken, first became a firearms instructor in 1988 for a Colorado law enforcement agency. He served as athe lead instructor for several years primarily for pistol and rifle shooting. Ken beacme a Master Glock pistol Instructor in 1990. In 1992, He became an NRA Training Counselor in rifle, pistol, shotgun amd muzzleloading. He has taught over 500 individuals in safe handling firearmswhile learning the fundementals of target shooting and in the area of self defense. He is volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and is on the BSA National Shooting Sports Committee.
